Deputy Controller of Examinations & P.S. to Treasurer Posts at Gauhati University

Gauhati University is looking for eligible person for the post Deputy Controller of examination and P. S. to Treasurer, G. U. Two person will be engaged for the post of Deputy Controller of examination and one person will be appointed for the P. S. to Treasurer. 1. Name of the post : Deputy Controller of Examinations.
   Number of posts : 2
   Scale of pay : Rs. 15600-39100 + Grade pay Rs. 7600 with other allowances as G. U. rule.
   Qualification : The minimum required academic qualification for the post is to have an Master's degree with 55% marks or Grade Point 7.

Apart from th above mentioned academic qualification applicant must have at least 9 years of experience as assistant professor or researcher in an institute of higher education. Candidate having at least 5 years of experience as assistant registrar are highly desirable.

2. Name of post : P. S. to Treasurer
   Number of post : 1
   Scale of pay : Rs. 12000-40000 + Grade pay Rs. 6300
   
   
   Qualification : Applicant must qualify Bachelors degree from any stream. Applicant should have a diploma in English Stenography capable of writing 140 words per minute. He/ She should have sound knowledge of computer. Apart from educational qualification applicant having at least 5 years of experience in the relevant field will be preferred.
   
   
   Age Limit : For both the positions, the upper age limit is 45 years. However , there is a relaxation 45 years for reserved candidates.

Candidates have to pay an amount of Rs. 1000 as an application fee ( Rs. 500 for SC/ST) through demand draft that should be drawn in favour of “ Registrar, Gauhati University” payable at SBI, G. U.
