Walk in Interview for Junior Research Fellow and Project Assistant at GMCH

Gastroenterology Department, Gauhati Medical College and Hospital is looking for eligible candidates for one post of Junior Research Fellow and one post of Project Assistant. The recruitment is for the project “Polymorphism of IL28b gene and its association with response to treatment with Peg-interferon alpha 2a/2b and Rivabirin combination in chronic hepatitis C virus infection from North-Eastern India”. The position is for a period of one year or subject to completion of the project.

1 Position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Renumeration : Rs. 16,000/- + 20% HRA

Eligibility : Candidates must qualify M.Sc/M.Tech/B.Tech in Biotechnology or M.B.B.S/B.Pharm with at least 60% marks. Preference will be given to those candidates who have qualified NET or GATE.

Experience Required : Candidates should have experienced in Medical and Molecular Biology or Molecular Virology or Oncology. Candidates having prior experience in animal cell culture, cloning, protein purification will be preferred most.

1 Position of Project Assistant

Renumeration : Rs. 8,000/- per month

Eligibility : Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary (10+2) in science stream are eligible to apply for the post.

Experience Required : Candidates having working experience on laboratory procedure are eligible.
